Equine Assisted Energy Healing
Healing in the field; guided by intuition and supported by the herd: Misty, Astro, Darcy, Ellie, Fanta and Eddie.
Equine Assisted Energy Healing is a unique outdoor healing experience combining intuitive energy work with the natural presence of horses. Sessions take place at Yoga Farm near Geelong on the Surf Coast of Victoria.
The field is quiet.
The herd moves slowly across the grass.
Nothing is rushed here.
Healing is not something that is forced or analysed. It unfolds gradually; supported by the land, the horses and careful human guidance.
Each session is held by Steph Sanzaro, Energy Healer, and Anna Rimmer, Equine Assisted Therapist and guardian of the herd, creating a space that feels safe, steady and deeply supported for both humans and horses.
Many people leave feeling calmer, lighter and more connected to themselves.
Why healing with horses feels different:Horses live in the present moment.
As herd animals, they are naturally aware of subtle shifts in their environment. They notice nervous system changes, body language and emotional energy long before humans tend to articulate it.
Unlike people, they do not judge or analyse. They simply respond.
Because of this, being in the presence of a herd can feel deeply regulating. Many people notice their breathing slow, their bodies soften and their minds quiet as they spend time in the field.
In these sessions, the horses are never used as tools or made to perform.
They are respected as sentient beings with their own instincts and boundaries. We allow them to move naturally around the space, observing what unfolds without forcing interaction.
Their presence often brings a sense of honesty, grounding and calm that is difficult to replicate anywhere else.
Each horse brings their own presence and personality to the field. During sessions they are free to move naturally, graze, observe or come closer if they choose.
Their responses are never directed or expected. We simply allow the experience to unfold.
Meet the Herd
How the session unfolds
Arrival and grounding
You’ll begin with a herbal tea and a short chat. This is where we talk about a goal or intention you may have for the session. From there, we slowly walk into the field and take a few moments to settle into the space. Anna guides grounding to help us and the horses arrive calmly together.
Energy healing
Steph then begins the energy healing, working intuitively with what is present in your body and energy field. Reading through the chakra system, the physical body, and what is being shown. This is a time of deep listening to what you truly need.
The herd moving within the space
During the session, the horses are free to move naturally around the paddock. Sometimes they come close. Sometimes they observe from further away. Their presence becomes part of the environment holding the session.
Closing the session
Anna gently closes the experience with grounding and energy calling back in, helping you return fully to yourself before the session completes.
Experience from the field
“I must say but I do feel somewhat lighter and know what needs to happen and what needs to shift now. I still am mind blown at Fanta, Darcy and Astro!! Especially Fanta…that was nuts!! And Steph! Wow…you have got a gift thats for sure! The offering you both shared was really something else! So so special. And I am so very grateful that I got to experience it. Thank you.”

Anna Rimmer
Equine Assisted Therapist & Guardian of the HerdAnna is responsible for the wellbeing and safety of both the horses and the people in the space.
She observes the herd closely, reads their behaviour and maintains safe boundaries throughout the session.
Anna also bookends the experience by guiding grounding at the beginning and energy reclamation at the end, helping the session feel contained and complete.
Her role ensures the horses remain respected participants in the process while the field stays calm and safe.
Steph Sanzaro
Steph leads the energy healing component of the session.
Working intuitively with what is present for you on the day, she supports movement where there may be emotional heaviness, stress, disconnection or mental overwhelm.
Each session is unique. Some feel deeply calming. Others bring emotional release, clarity or a quiet shift that continues to unfold afterwards.
Energy HealerEvery session unfolds differently.
Sometimes the horses remain quietly grazing nearby. Sometimes they move closer, observing the space in stillness.
Occasionally, something happens that reminds us how deeply attuned horses are to their surroundings.
During one of the very first sessions held in the field, as Steph was working with a client lying comfortably on the table, the herd had gathered nearby. At one point, a horse named Fanta, who had been standing close by, slowly lowered herself and lay down on her side in the grass.
For those familiar with horses, this is a moment of deep trust and relaxation. Horses rarely lie down in open spaces unless they feel completely safe.
It felt like the entire field softened.
Moments like this are never expected or orchestrated. The horses are always free to move, graze or wander as they wish. Occasionally, their responses remind us just how perceptive and present they are.
No two sessions are ever the same.
Moments that stay with you.
